Becky Jacobs
Founder / President
With 27 years in outsourced IT, I’ve worked with more than 400 clients across many industries, helping them evaluate software, manage networks and computers, and put the right hardware and software solutions in place. Over the years, I’ve led countless technology projects from discovery and planning through development and implementation.
Earlier in my career, I held roles as a System Administrator with Sebrite Financial Corporation and a Network Technician with Uptime Computer Services. Those experiences sharpened my troubleshooting skills across operating systems, databases, networks, and hardware, while also building a strong knowledge base in LAN and WAN design.
I’m a Microsoft Certified Professional with deep expertise in Microsoft licensing and Microsoft 365. I also bring a unique perspective from five years as a Licensed Life/Health and Property/Casualty Insurance Producer, which gave me valuable insight into business and financial risk. That background has helped me consult with executives to create technology plans that make sense for their business goals.
At Northstar Technology Solutions, my goal is simple: be an advocate for your business. We step in as your IT department by handling day-to-day support, keeping systems secure, and helping you plan ahead. Since I was a young teen, I had interests in tech and computers. While my initial Career goals didn't place me in IT, I made my way into the industry nearly 9 years ago.
The industry is constantly changing, and we need to learn new things every day to stay on top of things. For me this is what I love doing. I take my passion and love for problem solving into my work and use it to help our customers.

I earned my A.A.S. degree in Network Administration in 2020 and have spent the past five years at Northstar Technology Solutions as a Managed Support Specialist and Cybersecurity Support professional.
I have extensive experience in Microsoft environments as well as WAN and LAN security and setup. I take pride in making technology easier, safer, and more productive for clients, and I enjoy adapting to new technologies and environments to deliver the best solutions.
